The SE DGT 15-Watt Guitar Amplifier Head was created as an affordable version of David Grissom's DG Custom 30. This amp, using a pair of EL84 tubes, delivers a nominal 15 watts. All controls are front-mounted for convenience, matching the size of the HDRX 20 standard for smaller wattage amps.Key features include mini-toggle switch presets for Boost and Clean settings, footswitch compatibility, and a three-way switch for Bright and Master controls independent of the Boost function. The design emulates David’s preferred tones, allowing seamless transitions from clean to overdrive using guitar volume, picking techniques, and pedals.
Additionally, a vintage-style tremolo circuit varying the cathode bias of the output tubes offers a deep, swampy tremolo effect. Final tweaks include deeper reverb and faster tremolo speed, ensuring versatile and rich sound quality. This amplifier head combines extensive R&D with high-quality performance for a wider customer base.
