In 1972, Glen Quan, a musician, innovator, and luthier, identified the need for superior guitar and bass bridges. Collaborating with Leo Malliari of Leo's Music in Oakland, CA, they introduced the pioneering "Badass" bridges. Crafted from high-density Zinc alloy, these "Leo Quan Badass" bridges significantly enhanced attack, sustain, and note clarity. They gained popularity among artists seeking to upgrade their Fender basses and were featured on numerous Fender artist signature models. Throughout the 1980s, BC Rich, Spector, and Kramer incorporated Badass bridges as original equipment on their instruments, solidifying their status among musicians. Today, Badass bridges are celebrated globally as the industry standard for top-quality replacement bridges, capable of enhancing the tone, playability, and appearance of your guitar or bass.
Designed to complement the Badass Wraparound bridge, the Fine Tuner Tailpiece (FTT) takes tuning accuracy to the next level by enabling players to fine-tune and make micro adjustments, especially beneficial for vintage guitars equipped with tuners featuring 14:1 and lower gear ratios. This enhancement ensures precise tuning even in challenging situations, further enhancing the performance of your instrument.
