In 1971, Cosmo Music moved from Toronto to Richmond Hill to the historic Mundinger Music location. This meant a smaller town, but a bigger lesson area. The team saw a huge growth in the number of students looking for music lessons. The rest is history. For over 50 years, the Cosmo School of Music has helped aspiring musicians, composers, and artists discover their passion.
Music Discovery Program
Discover, explore, and create with 10 different instruments during our 20-week Music Discovery Program. Students between the ages of 6 to 9 journey through learning Piano, Voice, Hand Percussion, Drums, Ukulele, Guitar, Violin, Clarinet, Flute, and Trumpet, under the guidance of our versatile multi-instrumentalist instructors. By the end of the program, your child will have a basic understanding of playing simple tunes or rhythms on each instrument, empowering them to make an informed choice about further study. Musical Theatre Program
Our Musical Theatre Program is designed for students who want to experience the thrill of performing on a professional stage. With official Disney licensing, our program provides students with the opportunity to learn and perform a fully realized Disney musical production in the beautiful Cosmopolitan Music Hall. Students will spend the first two sessions getting to know each other and working with the program director to assign roles based on internal auditions. The next twelve sessions will focus on learning lines, rehearsing, and dress rehearsals.

This March Break, young music enthusiasts are invited to join our March Break Music Discovery Camp! Tailored for kids with a love for music and a keen desire to explore, this camp promises an engaging experience with diverse instruments and musical styles. Located at the Cosmo School of Music in Richmond Hill, this immersive March Break Camp is designed for children aged 6 to 9, offering hands-on learning with a range of instruments such as the ukulele, boomwhackers, various hand percussion instruments, the recorder, piano, the xylophone, and, of course, singing.

RCM Group Theory Classes
The Cosmo School of Music runs comprehensive courses to prepare students for the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) exams. Courses are taught by members of the RCM College of Examiners.
In our group theory classes, you will learn the basics of music, including notation, scales, chords, and more. Our experienced and passionate instructors will guide you on a journey of musical discovery, helping you develop the skills and knowledge you need to succeed. Whether you're a beginner who has never studied theory before, or an advanced student preparing for the ARCT exam, the Cosmo School of Music has something for you. Our group theory classes are designed to be fun and engaging, and to provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed at any level.

With over 40 years of experience and thousands of satisfied students, Cosmo School of Music teaches hundreds of students every week. The Cosmo School of Music offers a variety of musical instruction to meet the needs of every musician. The best way to learn a new language is to immerse yourself in it. Music is no different. To be fluent in music you need to dedicate time for yourself to take in all aspects of music – how to play your instrument effectively, how to read music, how to hear music, how to create music and even explore how music makes you feel.
We believe that the exposure to a host of different methods of learning is extremely beneficial in music education so Cosmo School of Music have developed a music program that grows along a student's abilities and interests: Music Garden & Orff, Core Instrument Studies (private and group), Performance Academy, and Classroom Education.
