Many students don't realize that rotary valves require two different weights of lubricant for peak performance. While traditional rotor oils are fine for inside the valve, the crucial bearing ends need a heavier lubricant. Yamaha's Rotor Spindle Oil is tailor-made for the spindles of rotary valves; a few drops at each end keeps rotary valves spinning freely and prevents costly repair. Do not apply to rotors.
